1. Who we are
This Policy explains browser storage and similar technologies associated with keepofthedragon.com and Emberkeep: The Dragon Hatchery (the Services).
The operator is Lunqest LTD, registered at Companies House as LUNQEST LIMITED, company number 16823938, registered office International House, 50 Essex Street, London, WC2R 3JF, United Kingdom. Contact: support@keepofthedragon.com. Our Privacy Policy explains the use of personal information collected through these technologies.
2. What these technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. Local storage keeps information for a website across visits, while session storage normally lasts for the relevant browser-tab session. IndexedDB can hold structured information such as authentication state. These technologies can store information or allow it to be accessed on your device even when no conventional cookie is set.
A software development kit is a software component that may use these technologies. A reference to an analytics component in a software library does not by itself mean analytics is running. Pixels, advertising identifiers and comparable tracking methods are not necessary merely because a website could use them.
“First party” means storage in our Website's browser context. “Third party” means another provider's context. A first-party storage location does not necessarily mean that no service provider receives information.
3. Categories and our approach
| Category | Purpose and treatment |
|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Functions essential to a service you request, such as authenticating an Account, associating its save correctly and maintaining Game progress. Used only to the extent necessary; not for unrelated tracking. |
| Functional / Preference | Optional convenience settings, such as remembering sound preferences between visits. Persistent optional preference storage is subject to your choice. |
| Analytics | Optional measurement of how the Website or Game is used. Any optional analytics we offer must be identified and consented to before activation under our consent-based approach. No particular analytics product is identified as active by this Policy. |
| Advertising / Marketing | Technologies for advertising, cross-site tracking or marketing measurement. No advertising technology is identified as deployed in the inventory below. This Policy does not authorise undisclosed advertising tracking. |
We obtain consent before non-essential storage or access requiring consent. For consistent treatment of UK and EEA visitors, our policy is to request consent for optional analytics and optional persistent preferences rather than assume that a UK exception applies across the EEA. Necessary storage does not require optional-tracking consent when the legal exemption applies.
4. Identified browser-storage inventory
The following named entries were identified in the Website's publicly served Game code. They describe application storage, not a claim that every entry is set on a first visit. Actual storage depends on the features you use and your browser.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | First/Third Party | Consent Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| emberkeep_save — local storage | Lunqest LTD | Stores local Game/save state and supports synchronisation with the Account save. | Strictly Necessary for requested saving. | Persistent; no timed expiry was identified in the reviewed implementation. Remains until replaced, removed by the application or cleared by the browser/user. | First party | No, for the necessary saving purpose only. |
| embergames:save_owner — local storage | Lunqest LTD | Associates the local save with an Account identifier, helping prevent the wrong save being applied to another Account. | Strictly Necessary for requested Account saving. | Persistent; no timed expiry was identified. Remains until replaced, removed by the application or cleared by the browser/user. | First party | No, for the necessary Account/save purpose only. |
| emberkeep:demo-muted — local storage | Lunqest LTD | Remembers the homepage merge demonstration's sound setting. | Functional / Preference | Persistent; no timed expiry was identified. Remains until changed, removed or cleared. | First party | Yes under our policy for optional persistence between visits. The sound control itself can work without persistent storage. |
The public software also includes Firebase authentication persistence using IndexedDB and browser-storage options. The exact active authentication entries, their scope and lifecycle depend on the sign-in configuration. This inventory does not present unverified software-library names as confirmed active cookies. Further storage introduced by sign-in or an external payment interface must be explained with that feature and included in the applicable inventory.
5. Your choices
Where optional technologies are offered, the choice interface provides Accept All, Reject Non-Essential and Cookie Settings. Rejecting is as accessible as accepting. Optional categories start off, and closing a banner or continuing to browse is not agreement.
Use Cookie Settings to change or withdraw your choices. Withdrawing consent must stop further optional storage/access and related processing; it does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. The essential information needed to remember your privacy choice may be retained for that purpose.
You can also manage or remove website data through your browser. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in, saving or purchase delivery from working correctly. Clearing a local save before it has synchronised can lose unsynchronised progress. Browser deletion does not itself delete cloud Account records; contact support for Account or personal-data deletion requests.
An optional preference can be applied for the current visit without requiring you to agree to remember it for later visits. Contact support@keepofthedragon.com if you cannot find or use a relevant control.
6. External sign-in and payments
If you choose external sign-in or proceed to an external payment service, that provider may use technologies needed to authenticate you, secure the transaction or supply its service. Its own notice explains its processing. Optional analytics or advertising does not become strictly necessary merely because it appears inside a sign-in or payment component.
7. Updates
We will update this Policy and the inventory when relevant technologies change. Adding a new optional purpose requires appropriate information and a new choice before activation; publishing a revised Policy alone is not consent.
